Human Resources Director

Gibson County is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to serve as Human Resources Director. This position is responsible for overseeing all personnel functions and supporting the County’s workforce through effective policies, compliance, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the County’s human resources functions
  • Oversee hiring processes, onboarding, and employee records
  • Develop, implement, and enforce personnel policies and procedures
  • Advise County officials and department heads on HR-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Administer employee benefits and coordinate with benefits providers
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of human resources practices, employment law, and personnel administration
  • Experience in human resources, public administration, or a related field preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with County officials and staff
