Description
The Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for coordination and participation in activities involving the maintenance and repair work of the institution's grounds, buildings, vehicles and equipment.
Performance Standards
- Perform carpentry, masonry, welding, electrical and painting buildings, walls, equipment, and furnishings as assigned.
- Assess the needs for repair and make repairs and maintenance checks on the buildings, vehicles, equipment, grounds, refrigeration, air conditioning equipment, pneumatics, mechanical and plumbing fixtures and lines, and electrical equipment of the institution according to blueprints, sketches, and/or instructions.
- Assist with planning and implementing necessary maintenance repairs to the buildings, vehicles, equipment, and grounds of the institution.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Completed High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Submit to and pass background checks.
