Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product information and recommendations
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions quickly and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-presented
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking products and conducting regular stock checks
• Support retail sales efforts through effective communication skills and engaging customer interactions

Experience

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members during busy shifts or training new staff
• Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, and basic cash handling procedures is advantageous
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette will help foster positive customer relationships
• Experience conducting product demos or upselling can significantly boost sales performance
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising techniques, and stock management will support your success in this role

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
