Administrative Assistant (Construction Office)
Rapidly growing government contractor seeking an experienced construction Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth communication, and providing administrative support to our project managers and executive team. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about the construction industry and has a knack for multitasking.
Job responsibilities:
· Provide administrative support to the project management and executive teams, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and preparing business correspondence.
· Maintain the daily operations of the office by organizing supplies, coordinating meetings, and ensuring a professional and organized work environment.
· Assist with project coordination by ordering materials, scheduling deliveries, filing permits, sourcing subcontractors, and supporting project logistics.
· Support the accounting department with accounts payable/receivable, expense reports, and other financial administrative tasks.
· Obtain, prepare and submit competitive public bids
· Prepare professional business communications, including emails and letters, while providing courteous and professional customer service.
· Perform occasional local errands, such as delivering bid documents, shipping packages, and picking up office supplies or lunches.
· Assist with special projects, company events, marketing initiatives, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Outlook, email, and other standard office software.
· Professional, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
· Notary Public (can be obtained during employment)
· OSHA 10 or 30 (can be obtained during employment)
Experience Required:
· At least 2 years of administrative experience in a construction office.
· Basic knowledge of construction terminology, processes, and documentation.
· Training provided for the right candidate with a strong foundation in the construction industry and a willingness to learn.

This is a full time in person position:
Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Starting at $23 per hour, based on experience.
