What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner (Clinical Nephrology) position at Giacare Inc?
GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications for experienced, civilian Nurse Practitioners (Clinical Nephrology) to work alongside the federal government in support of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (Bethesda, Maryland).
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from a NLN approved school; Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner from an a American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANA) accredited school.
Life Support Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Board Certification: Board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-BC) certification is mandatory.
Licensure/Registration: Nurse Practitioner
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience with outpatient management of chronic kidney disease Stage 3 and 4.
• Must have experience with outpatient management of difficult to control hypertension, and intensively manage patients with uncontrolled blood pressure.
• Must have ability to manage 24-hour-blood pressure monitoring equipment and software.
• Must have experience with case management of patients post kidney transplant.
• Must have or obtain a current, valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number prior to performing the contract services.
• Annual flu shot is required, and must be the injectable vaccine, not the nasal (live) vaccine.
