General Summary / Responsibilities
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge
- Liaison to patients; assist with paperwork; maintain accurate patient files and databases; schedule and confirm appointments.
- Coordinate and schedule surgeries, procedures, and follow-up appointments per physician instructions and policies.
- Provide preoperative information and advise patients on surgical and financial requirements.
- Communicate with patients, physicians, clinic staff, ambulatory surgical centers, and outside facilities.
- Coordinate processes and timing to meet physician and facility requirements.
- Submit clinical and financial information to facilities, ensuring proper medical records release.
- Answer and screen phone calls courteously; record messages.
- Maintain confidential patient files and records.
- Follow up with prospective, current, and past patients.
- Ensure a positive patient experience in-office and over the phone.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Create Surgical Orders/Submit to Hospital
- Understand Medical Terminology (Urology Preferred)
- Familiar with medications (NSAIDS, Blood pressure, anticoagulants/antiplatelet, GLP1)
- Must be organized, able to pivot/abapt to constant changes
- Must be able to thoroughly manage a busy providers surgical schedule
- Must work well with a team as well as unsupervised independently.

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume office (Preferred)
- High school diploma or GED (Required)
