IT Technician I

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced IT Technician I.

This role requires travel within the Southern/Richmond area, with occasional travel to northern regions as needed.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position purpose

Provide technical support to practice offices, CBO, and physicians.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and system groups.

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular fields.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Required certification in A , with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network , Security , MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.
• Must be able to travel to our offices within and outside of DFW Metroplex.
  
  

Education: An Associates Degree or equivalent and 1-4 years of experience in the IT or related field preferred

Experience: 1-4 years of IT, or related field, preferred experience

Additional Qualifications

• Preferred certification in A , with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network , Security , MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.
  
  

Requirements For Level I Status

• Entry level (1-4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision.
• Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient technical (computer) skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Self-motivated with initiative.
• Strong sense of ethics.
• Ability to travel to office locations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds including carrying this amount of weight up flights of stairs.
