Craft Beer Delivery Driver

Ghost Town Brewing is looking for a delivery driver. As a member of our delivery & logistics team our drivers are responsible for bringing packaged beer to accounts around the bay area. Our drivers work closely with the sales team to coordinate and strategize an ever-evolving daily delivery schedule. The position is physically demanding and requires the ability to safely lift and maneuver objects up to 180 lbs, repeatedly.

Ghost Town Brewing is a West Oakland brewery started in 2012 by a former heavy metal band with a passion for home brewing that as of recent won the 2022 Great American Beer Festival Brewery of the Year between 5,001-15,000 barrel production. An interest in craft beer and the ability to tolerate heavy metal are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

-Report on site for your scheduled shift

-Drive a 16’ Refrigerated Box Truck safely, defensively and in accordance with all traffic laws

-Deliver kegs & cases to accounts on scheduled routes within 100 miles from the brewery Tuesday to Friday

-Use company cell phone and software applications to perform the duties of the position

-Coordinate onsite invoicing and payment with accounts

-Retrieve empty kegs and track keg deposits

-Communicate with sales staff and management as needed regarding deliveries

- Provide outstanding customer service with accounts during deliveries and pick-ups

-Behave in an ethical and professional manner with customers and coworkers

-Be flexible under stress

-Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety and security standards

-Clean/ maintain the truck, and notifying a supervisor of any defects or necessary repairs

-Continually update product knowledge and be able to answer basic questions about our products

-Ability to safely move and maneuver a full keg (160 lbs) repeatedly throughout each workday

-Excellent time management skills

-Must be 21 years of age or older

-Current California “C Class” Driver’s License and a clean driving record

-Ability to resolve issues in a respectful manner as they arise from customers and coworkers

-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others

-Ability to stand, lift, bend, kneel, push, pull and move 180 pound objects for up to 10 hours a day

Expected Hours of Work:

Tuesday through Friday with start times as early as 7 am & end times as late as 7 pm (10 hour shifts 4 x days a week)

Pay: Hourly bonuses, FULL company benefits after 90 days, PTO & sick pay
