Front Desk Associate (Full-Time & Part-Time)

We’re looking for friendly, observant, and service-oriented individuals to join our Guest Services team at the Front Desk to create exceptional first impressions for visitors to Ghost Ranch.

Full-time and part-time shifts available, morning and evening shifts available.

• Welcome guests at the Front Desk with a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor
• Provide accurate information about overnight stays, tours, and daily activities
• Check guests in and out using our property management system (OPERA), including collecting credit card information and maintaining accurate records
• Respond to queries and requests by phone and email; direct inquiries to appropriate departments as needed
• Use multiple operating systems including our property management system OPERA to assist with reservations and guest services

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area

Qualifications

• Positive, outgoing, and helpful attitude

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Keen observational and problem-solving abilities to anticipate guest needs
• Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy and efficiency
• Able to quickly learn and work across multiple computer platforms, including point of sale systems, property management systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
• Reliable and flexible in response to Ghost Ranch’s operational needs
• Able to stand and work at a computer for extended periods

• Able to work primarily indoors (80%) with some outdoor responsibilities (20%)

Ghost Ranch welcomes more than 20,000 day visitors and approximately 5,000 overnight guests each year. As a Guest Services Associate, you’ll be a key point of contact for our guests greeting them warmly, answering questions, assisting with check-in and check-out, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.

Position Details

• Year-round positions available, either Full-time (40 hours/wk) or Part-time (24 hrs/wk)
• Includes weekends and occasional holidays
• Non-exempt (hourly) at $18/hour
• Part-time employees receive paid holidays, annual leave, and sick leave, as well as lunch and various discounts on Ghost Ranch Offerings. Full-time employees are eligible for additional benefits such as medical insurance, retirement saving plan, and student loan repayment.
