What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Specialist position at Ghost Engine Digital?
We’re hiring a Sales Representative who follows proven sales playbooks, builds long-term client relationships, and manages accounts with care and consistency. This role is for someone who values structure, trust, and thoughtful communication over pressure tactics.
Why this role exists
Growth doesn’t come from one-off deals. It comes from strong relationships, clear process, and consistent follow-through.
Our sales team operates with defined playbooks, shared language, and clear expectations. Your job is not to reinvent the system — it’s to run it well, adapt thoughtfully, and deepen client trust over time.
What you’ll do
Follow and execute our sales playbooks
- Use established sales frameworks for outreach, discovery, follow-up, and closing
- Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking
- Apply consistent qualification and handoff processes
- Provide feedback to improve playbooks based on real-world conversations
Nurture ongoing client relationships
- Build trust through clear communication and reliability
- Maintain regular, value-driven touchpoints with prospects and clients
- Understand client goals, challenges, and decision cycles
- Position yourself as a long-term partner, not just a seller
Manage client relationships post-sale
- Own the relationship after close in collaboration with delivery teams
- Ensure smooth onboarding and expectation alignment
- Identify upsell or expansion opportunities based on client needs
- Proactively address concerns before they become issues
Represent the brand with integrity
- Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally
- Avoid pressure-based or misleading sales tactics
- Uphold our standards for trust, transparency, and respect
What we’re looking for (Required)
- Experience in sales, account management, or customer success
- Comfort following structured sales processes and playbooks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple relationships without dropping details
- CRM experience and basic sales reporting discipline
- Slack Experience for communication
- Google Calendar experience
Nice to have
- B2B or relationship-based sales experience
- Experience with long sales cycles or consultative selling
- Familiarity with outbound inbound sales motions
- Interest in refining systems, not just closing deals
How we measure success
- Consistent execution of sales playbooks
- Healthy pipeline activity and follow-through
- Client retention and relationship strength
- Clear, accurate CRM data and communication
- Positive feedback from clients and internal teams
What you can expect from us
- Clear sales playbooks and expectations
- Supportive leadership that values process and learning
- A culture that rewards trust-building, not shortcuts
- Room to grow into senior sales or account leadership roles
You’ll thrive here if you:
- Prefer clarity over chaos
- Believe relationships close more deals than pressure
- Like running a strong system and improving it over time
- Want to build something sustainable, not just hit a number
