What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Medical Office position at Ghods Chiropractic Inc?
We are looking for a medical assistant to work at our chiropractic clinic. We focus on personal injury cases, and we also have a drug testing facility on site. This person will work both the front desk and the back office, helping the doctor with all patient care and medical testing.
Previous experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right person. Being bilingual in Spanish is required.
Front desk duties include checking patients in and out, verifying personal injury insurance, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, answering phones in both English and Spanish, and keeping patient records organized.
Back-office duties include taking vital signs, assisting the doctor with therapies such as electrical stimulation, setting up treatment rooms, cleaning instruments, and performing basic tests such as range of motion, vision, and hearing.
For drug testing, you will collect urine samples, follow chain-of-custody rules, complete forms correctly, and prepare specimens for lab pickup.
We are heavily regulated by the Department of Transportation, so top organizational skills are a must. You need to be comfortable working with patients who have been in car accidents or other injuries. You also need to be careful with legal paperwork and patient privacy.
If you have experience in a chiropractic office, urgent care, or personal injury clinic, that is a plus. Certification as a medical assistant is also a plus, but not necessary.
This job requires standing for long periods and assisting patients with mobility as needed.
Pay is based on experience.
