Automotive Body, Paint & Mechanical Technician
Ghaly Auto Sales is looking for an experienced Automotive Body, Paint & Mechanical Technician to join our team in De Soto, Iowa.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working on a variety of vehicles. This position is ideal for someone with experience in multiple areas of automotive repair, especially body work, paint, frame repair, and general mechanical work.
Responsibilities include:
- Automotive body and collision repair
- Dent and panel repair/replacement
- Body preparation, sanding, priming, and painting
- Paint matching, blending, and finishing
- Frame straightening and structural repair
- Welding as needed
- General mechanical repairs
- Brakes, suspension, steering, and other vehicle repairs
- Diagnosing mechanical problems
- Preparing used vehicles for sale
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
What we’re looking for:
- Previous automotive repair/body shop experience preferred
- Experience with body work and paint
- Mechanical experience
- Frame repair experience is a strong plus
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to handle multiple vehicles/projects
