VP of Procurement Lead – Data Center Projects (Confidential Search)
GH Engage are supporting a major developer on a confidential search for a VP Procurement Lead to manage all owner-furnished equipment (OFCI) across a portfolio of large-scale data center projects in the US.
This organization has a extensive and long term track record delivering complex real estate and infrastructure developments, with deep expertise that includes but isn’t limited to in clean energy and large-scale investment and is backed by a multi-billion-dollar national development pipeline, rapidly expanding to support hyperscale clients in scaling data center capacity across the U.S.
They are seeking an experienced and specialised VP of Procurement to oversee all owner-furnished equipment (OFCI) sourcing across multiple large-scale data center projects. This role is ideal for a senior procurement professional with deep technical understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure in fast-paced, high-value construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary procurement lead for OFCI packages across multiple concurrent projects.
- Manage relationships with OEMs, distributors, and specialty vendors for switchgear, UPS systems, CRACs, PDUs, chillers, generators, and high-voltage equipment.
- Lead the strategic competitive sourcing process: issuing RFIs/RFPs, managing Q&A, evaluating bids, and presenting recommendations.
- Partner with design, development, and construction teams to align procurement timelines with project schedules.
- Oversee commercial negotiations, contracts, and supplier performance to ensure delivery against reliability, cost, and schedule goals.
- Track procurement progress, commitments, and risk exposure across multiple data center builds.
- Stay current on supply chain and manufacturing trends affecting mission-critical infrastructure.
Ideal Profile
- 15 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or construction management, including at least 5 years leading OFCI sourcing for data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
- Proven success in vendor negotiation, sourcing strategy, and delivery of complex MEP or electrical systems.
- Strong technical literacy – able to read and interpret detailed engineering documents and equipment specifications.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
