The Role
As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and serve as the primary on-site leader, driving performance and accountability across all trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for multifamily, higher education, and healthcare projects
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones
- Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards
- Monitor quality control and ensure work is performed to contract specifications
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients
- Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively to minimize delays and cost impacts
- Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a focus on multifamily, higher education, or healthcare projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems (MEP, structural, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project schedules
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality control practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Relevant degree or professional background in Construction Management or related field preferred
