Warehouse Supervisor

Busy, growing, automotive rubber and plastics distributor looking for a Full Time Warehouse Supervisor. Candidate should be very organized, extremely detailed orientated and be able to manage warehouse team, while executing SOPs, as well as ensuring a safe and efficient environment. Candidate should be a confident self-starter and independent thinker, with the ability to trouble shoot. Must have prior warehouse experience and experience in managing others. As the Warehouse Supervisor you will:

· Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals

· Train and help the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals

· Ensure that daily warehouse operations and projects are completed, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics, such as shipping and receiving.

· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations

Core Responsibilities:

· Report to Senior Logistics Manager and assist in managing warehouse staff (Approx 23)

· Manage the daily work and safety of employees engaged in order selection, product replenishment, and order loading, to include all warehouse functions, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo reach equipment and forklift operators.

· Monitors on safety and cleanliness of warehouse

· Monitors labor hours (i.e. attendance, tardiness, etc.) with daily email

· Monitors progress and signs off on training checklist when trainee has completed training

· Reviews warehouse functions and various warehouse productivity. Provides management daily reports

· Monitor and provide feedback on packing and ways to reduce shipping costs

· Suggest efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assist with the implementation of changes within the warehouse.

· Prepares and manages LTL shipments in an efficient and cost-effective manner

· Leads on the receiving of inbound and outbound shipping, as well as projects – ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

· Prepares key performance indicators by monitoring and entering data on pickers, packers, wrappers and baggers – provide dept and management with analysis and feedback on process and employees

· Identifies problems, proposes solutions to other members of management and promotes cooperation with other departments.

· Assists with monitoring sanitation and facility/racking damage to ensure a safe and clean warehouse.

· Coordinates efforts with Safety department to aid in training, conducting employee observations, updating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes, and routine safety inspections. Makes recommendations to management for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification where required.

• Monitor safety checks on all equipment, performing basic maintenance where necessary and calling in maintenance professionals where and when necessary.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA, etc.)

SKILLS:

· 5 Years in Warehouse Management

· Forklift Certified

· Experience in LTL, UPS, Ocean Shipments

· Knowledge of scanners and ERP systems

· Expert in Microsoft Office

· Ability to multitask

Pay: $50,726.08 - $66,300.00 per year
