Duties
- Execute various construction tasks including framing, roofing, drywall installation, concrete finishing, masonry, and more, adhering to project specifications and safety standards
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery efficiently and safely across different job sites
- Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed plans to accurately carry out installation and construction activities
- Perform inspections of work areas to ensure quality control and compliance with building codes and project requirements
- Assist in the installation of doors, windows, cabinetry, flooring, tile laying, stucco, plastering, glass installation, and other finishing trades
- Support site management with construction estimating tasks and material take-offs when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate project execution
- Experience with construction management principles and site supervision techniques
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment operation safely and effectively
- Knowledge of construction inspection procedures to ensure quality standards are met
- Strong background in various trades such as carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), roofing, masonry, welding, restoration, hardscape work, and concrete forming/finishing
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes for cost-effective project planning
- Ability to read technical drawings related to plumbing, electrical systems (including schematics), glass installation, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and remodeling projects
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with other subcontractors and project managers
- Commitment to safety practices on-site including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
