Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and blueprints.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
- Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards, conducting regular safety inspections and training sessions.
- Manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to track progress and adjust timelines as needed.
- Review contracts, change orders, and project budgets to maintain financial control and ensure profitability.
- Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring work meets specifications and industry standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately for proper execution of construction tasks.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and HeavyBid for cost estimating when applicable.
- Supervise a team of construction workers and subcontractors, providing guidance on best practices and safety procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in heavy civil or commercial construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management practices and software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, Construction management software tools.
- Strong background in project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision.
- Familiarity with contracts management and negotiation processes within the construction sector.
- Hands-on experience on construction sites with a focus on quality control and safety compliance (OSHA certification preferred).
- Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
