Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for various dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and portion sizes
- Assist with cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food production for high-volume service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, mixers, and food processors
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients according to dietary guidelines and meal specifications
- Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or large-scale service, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary aide roles or food service environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food safety management practices
- Experience working in fine dining or high-volume production kitchens is a plus
- Knowledge of various cooking methods including grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation techniques
