In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- This individual will primarily perform analysis and design activities on traffic projects but may be required to assist other departments as needed. Projects will primarily be located in the mid-Atlantic region but may also include occasional assignments for projects outside of the region. The successful candidate will work closely with his/her supervisor and more experienced project managers, engineers and designers.
What You Will Bring To Our Firm
- Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related field required, focus in Traffic preferred
- 0 to three (3) years’ experience in transportation and/or traffic analysis, engineering and design to include maintenance of traffic, signing, markings and signals; previous internship or co-op preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) strongly desired.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation strongly desired.
- Experience with HCS, VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic and Sidra software desired.
- Experience with travel demand model software such as Cube considered a plus.
- Experience with Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) considered a plus.
- Innovative, strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as an integral part of a design team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
