GFT is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Entry Level CAD Technician to join our Water group in East Brunswick or Marlton, NJ. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least three days of onsite office attendance on a weekly basis.

The Entry Level CAD Technician is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans to support a variety of engineering projects. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality work that meets project specifications and industry standards.

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.

What You’ll Be Challenged To Do
The Entry Level CAD Technician is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans to support a variety of engineering projects. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality work that meets project specifications and industry standards.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Develop detailed technical drawings and plans for water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Collect and analyze field data to support the design and development of project plans.
- Utilize advanced CADD software to produce construction documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and other design team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Interpret and apply design manuals, guidelines, and standards, with support and review from senior staff as needed.
What You Will Bring To Our Firm
- Associate’s degree in CADD Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in civil, infrastructure or water projects.
- Demonstrated interest in civil, infrastructure or water design through prior internships, work experiences, or applied academic coursework.
- Proficiency in CADD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior working experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
