What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Engineer, Water position at GFT Infrastructure, Inc.?
Staff Engineers Water for GFT Infrastructure, Inc for our Houston, TX regional office. May telecommute up to 2 days/week.
Perform system design work incl preparation of contract drawings specifications for water supply sources, water pumping stations, water treatment facilities, water storage facilities, water transmission distribution systems, general municipal engineering assignments. Determine client requirements develop specs, drawings, instructions related docs. Work w/ client other disciplines to prep plans execute design activities as directed by scope of work. Review vendor drawings evaluate need for design changes make appropriate recommendations for projects. Consult w/ construction personnel concerning field conditions, sequencing scheduling activities. Ensure production of drawings specifications meet the scope, schedule, cost quality requirements satisfies all federal, state, local requirements Provide direction, instruction, and mentorship to jr. level engineering staff.
May undergo background checks incl MV check and drug screening.
Education | Experience:- Must have Bachelors in Engineering or related field and 4 years relevant large diameter water lines experience or civil projects (site development or land development).
- Also requires the following skills (4 yrs exp) in: Bluebeam Revu and Civil 3D Design Software; GIS; MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Also requires PE License.
