Strategic Sourcing Execution Manager IV
12 month contract
On-site in Princeton, NJ
Role Description: The Strategic Sourcing Execution Manager, Research & Development IV tasks include:
- Develop and enable sourcing strategies that align with business needs while meeting financial, operational, risk, quality, regulatory, and supply assurance objectives
- Oversee key supplier relationships through supplier performance management, governance, and alignment to business objectives
- Ensure and monitor compliance with sourcing policies and processes through stakeholder communication, training, and reporting of exceptions/deviations
- Drive savings across sourcing activities and ensure savings realization into financials
- Execute high-value sourcing activities by conducting market assessments, gathering business requirements, managing RFx processes, leading negotiations, and establishing strategic contractual infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, ethical standards, GLP, ICH E6 guidelines, J-SOX, and Third-Party Risk Management requirements
- Assess and mitigate supplier risks while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance
- Develop KPIs and reporting processes to measure sourcing performance and outcomes against objectives
- Provide regular reporting and tracking of sourcing initiatives, progress, risks, and issues
- Provide category expertise and supplier market insights to business partners
- Execute sourcing activities in alignment with company best practices including spend analysis, RFx tools, contract management, and Preferred Supplier Programs
- Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), amendments, task orders, and change orders
- Support additional activities and projects as assigned
Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrated strategic sourcing experience within Pharmaceutical or Biotech R&D categories
- Experience executing R&D sourcing projects that resulted in preferred or strategic partnerships
- Strong sourcing expertise, category knowledge, and collaborative business partnering skills
- Experience interacting with senior-level stakeholders and suppliers
- Basic understanding of ICH E6 guidelines and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sciences, or related technical field
