Senior Analyst, Sourcing
12-month Contract
Hybrid in San Jose, CA (3 days onsite)
Must be able to work on a W2
Requirements
- Lead data analysis activities supporting cost reduction and supplier performance improvements.
- Analyze supplier performance details and trends.
- Analyze internal and external cost data to identify opportunities and develop data-driven support for cost negotiations.
- Create cost models for supplier pricing structures, including analysis of variables impacting cost and profit such as volume/spend growth and material price changes.
- Utilize AI tools and methods in modeling and analysis activities.
- Issue RFQs, facilitate and lead auctions, and generate should-cost requests.
- Analyze RFQ and cost analysis results and provide summaries and recommendations to sourcing teams.
- Develop negotiation fact sets and presentations to support supplier negotiations.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through written, verbal, and visual presentations.
- Support current products and new product initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related business field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a specialized field or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting supplier selection and supplier performance management.
- Experience developing and utilizing cost models.
- Strong skills in data analysis and presentation of results.
- Ability to work through data ambiguity and create clarity across multiple systems and information sources.
- Experience leveraging AI within analysis and modeling activities.
- Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent tasks and projects.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate insights through data visualization.
- Interest and capability to transition into sourcing management responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and evaluative judgment skills with the ability to prioritize, analyze, and validate complex information.
