Lab Technician, Pharmaceuticals, Consultant
Summary
Our client, a world leader in developing and commercializing innovative biopharmaceuticals for rare diseases driven by genetic causes, is seeking a Lab Technician. The Lab Technician – Materials & Equipment Support is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment within a pharmaceutical setting. This role focuses on the cleaning, preparation, and handling of laboratory materials, glassware, and equipment to support ongoing laboratory and manufacturing activities in accordance with GMP and safety standards.
Duties / Expectations of Role
- Clean, sanitize, and sterilize laboratory glassware, equipment, and supplies using approved procedures
- Operate laboratory cleaning equipment (e.g., autoclaves, washers, dryers)
- Prepare and stage materials and supplies for laboratory and production use
- Ensure proper storage and organization of cleaned materials and equipment
- Dispose of laboratory waste, including hazardous and biohazard materials, in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and lab consumables; notify appropriate personnel when restocking is needed
- Follow all GMP, SOP, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Document cleaning activities and maintain accurate records/logbooks
- Support lab personnel with general housekeeping and operational tasks as needed
- Assist with audits and inspections by ensuring cleanliness and organization standards are consistently met
Term & Start
- 6-12 month contract with strong possibility of extension or hire
- Full time - 40hrs/week; Benefits included (health, dental, vision)
- Onsite In San Rafael, CA
