CDL A PIt Operator Byron Center, Michigan, United States The tractor-trailer driver will safely and efficiently drive a tractor and lead trailer to transport non-hazardous waste to multiple landfills in a timely and professional manner. Successful candidates will have the ability to learn heavy equipment operations such as excavators and loaders. Benefits: Why choose GFL(Team Green)? • Health, Vision, Dental Insurance • 3 weeks of PTO annually • Paid Holidays • 401k, and 401k matching • And several other benefits Job Description: Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) according to DOT regulations Utilize assigned route while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations Maneuver CMV into loading and unloading areas Assist with loading and unloading of products, using specialized equipment when warranted, and returns all equipment to designated area Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to dispatch when work orders are complete Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and reports maintenance malfunctions to the fleet manager and dispatch Other duties as assigned Work Environment: Overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays Rotating On-Call Most CDL drivers have daily routes and are home nightly Located in Byron Center, MI Full-time position Requirements: Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A with tanker endorsement Clean driving record Must be able to drive manual transmissions Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen, as required by law Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers Ability to handle prolonged periods of sitting in a cab Ability to remain focused in busy environments Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds #GFLTalent We thank you for your interest.
