Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hay Press Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hay press equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with electrical systems, and familiarity with testing tools such as ohmmeters. This role is vital in supporting efficient hay processing operations and maintaining equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hay press machinery to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate testing tools, including ohmmeters.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, motors, hydraulics, and mechanical parts of hay presses.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and report any recurring issues or safety concerns.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule repairs that minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and company policies.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on agricultural or industrial machinery, preferably hay presses.
- Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and using testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, motors, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
