Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Personal Injury Intake Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the intake process from initial client contact through case setup, ensuring all information is accurately collected, documented, and entered into the firm's case management system. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent organization, and prior experience in personal injury law, including opening claims with insurance companies and maintaining accurate case records.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective and new clients through phone, email, text, and other communication channels
- Conduct thorough client intake interviews and gather all relevant information regarding accidents, injuries, insurance coverage, medical treatment, and related details
- Collect and verify all necessary client information, including contact details, accident facts, insurance information, vehicle information, police reports, medical provider information, and supporting documentation
- Open and establish claims with all involved insurance carriers, including bodily injury, property damage, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, and any applicable third-party claims
- Obtain claim numbers, adjuster contact information, policy information, and related claim details
- Accurately enter and maintain all client information, case details, notes, and documentation within the firm's case management system and databases
- Upload, organize, and maintain case documents and records to ensure complete and accurate files
- Follow up with clients, insurance companies, and other parties to obtain missing information and documentation
- Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure files are properly established and transitioned for case handling
- Maintain confidentiality while providing a high level of professionalism and client service
Qualifications
- Experience handling personal injury intake procedures and opening claims with multiple insurance carriers
- Strong understanding of personal injury case intake and claims processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow up on outstanding items
Pay: $25.68 - $30.93 per hour
