Receiving Leader Description: The qualified Receiving Leader will preferably possess have a high school diploma or equivalent and plays a critical role in the accurate and efficient intake of materials into the facility. This position is responsible for unloading shipments, identifying and processing incoming materials, staging for quality checks, and ensuring proper putaway and inventory accuracy. A qualified candidate should possess the knowledge skills and abilities to complete the following:
- Operate as a working lead, performing all responsibilities of a receiving associate in addition leadership duties to include delegating tasks, setting daily goals, and monitoring progress.
- Serve as the point of contact for all receiving-related requests and meetings.
- Train and develop receiving associates to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Operate as a working lead, performing all core receiving duties alongside the team.
- Break down and identify incoming small parcel materials for system entry.
- Receive and break down pallets from overseas and domestic shipments.
- Stage materials in designated areas for Quality Control (QC) inspections.
- Load and unload material from trucks safely and efficiently.
- Put away materials after QC approval and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Handles expedited materials, ensuring priority processing and quick resolution.
- Manage inbound discrepancy workflows, addressing and resolving receiving issues.
- Generates and manage end-of-month inventory reports, supporting accurate stock levels and reconciliation.
Receiving Leader Requirements: The Receiving Leader should preferably possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a valid driver’s license. The Receiving Leader should preferably possess at least 2-3 years of experience using all computer functions necessary to perform receiving duties with a warehouse environment. Prior leadership or lead experience strongly preferred. This includes standing continuously, lifting up to 75lbs unassisted and repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity. The Receiving Leader should possess the ability communicate effectively with co-workers, organize and prioritize job tasks to aid in satisfying customer requirements. The ideal candidate must also possess the ability to work overtime as needed.
