Job Title: Audiovisual and Livestream Operator
Gettysburg Presbyterian Church is seeking a reliable and skilled Audiovisual & Livestream Operator to support high-quality audio and video for worship services. This role plays an important part in creating a clear, engaging experience for both in-person and online participants.
Job Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, monitor, and tear down A/V equipment for weekly worship services
Mix and manage live sound to ensure clarity and balance for musicians and congregation
Partner with the contemporary worship band to support consistent, high-quality audio
Troubleshoot technical issues in real time to maintain a smooth worship experience
Set up and manage weekly livestreams (e.g., YouTube or similar platforms)
Operate remote-controlled pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras
Run video switching software for multi-camera production, including graphics
Perform occasional video recording and basic graphic editing
Assist with occasional off-site or special event A/V needs
Inspect and maintain equipment; report repair or replacement needs
Maintain a digital archive of recorded services
Attend periodic meetings with church leadership related to technology
Follow all church technology, confidentiality, and security protocols
Qualifications:
Reliable, punctual, and an effective communicator
Experience with live A/V production in settings of 100 people
Proficiency operating soundboards and A/V systems
Familiarity with livestreaming platforms and basic video production
Ability to remain calm and problem-solve under pressure during live events
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Availability on Sunday mornings and occasional additional times
Preferred Experience:
Experience with video editing software
Familiarity with livestream platforms such as YouTube
Position Details:
Part-time position
Regular schedule includes Sunday mornings, plus occasional additional hours for preparation, meetings, or special events
Supervision:
Supervised by the Associate Pastor as well as the Elder for Technology.
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
