Facilities Technician

Essential Functions

Maintains carwash equipment, carwash POS systems, and building by performing extensive preventive maintenance and repair work. Ensures operation of equipment by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining carwash equipment, electrical systems, plumbing systems, water heaters, and electronic systems. Maintains site appearance by repairing carwash building doors, minor painting, imaging and decaling equipment. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred, and one year related experience. Must be able to communicate in English, orally and written; perform basic arithmetic functions. Must have valid driver’s license with no major offenses. Must be able to understand basic blueprints, electrical schematics, installation and service manuals. Requires use of basic hand tools, power tools, and electrical measurement instruments. Acetylene cutting and arc welding skills preferred. Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

• Hear and speak via telephone.

• Work with arms bent up for extended periods of time
• Physical senses to work on moving machinery & electrical energized machinery in a safe manner
• Must have color vision and depth perception
• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts; exposed to wet, humid conditions (non-weather related), fumes and/or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemcials
• Reach forward and/or overhead
