Role Description Early Head Start Teachers are responsible for providing safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care and education to infants and toddlers in an on-site classroom setting in Tyler, TX. In this full-time role, teachers plan and implement daily lessons and activities aligned with Early Head Start standards, support children’s social-emotional and cognitive development, and maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment. They observe and document children’s progress, communicate regularly with families, and participate in family conferences and home-school connections. Teachers collaborate with other staff to meet program goals, adhere to health and safety regulations, and engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience working with infants and toddlers in an early childhood or Early Head Start setting.
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning, including creating developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive, and engaging classroom activities.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and team members, including clear documentation and reporting.
- Experience in Training or willingness to participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, health, and safety.
- Relevant credential in early childhood education (CDA, associate degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field) preferred.
- Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and child development best practices is beneficial.
- Ability to meet program health, safety, and background check requirements and to perform job duties in an active classroom environment.
