Getagadget, based near Buda Texas, is the Leader in Original Design for Resort & Promotional Impulse Items. We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk, part-time for 25 hours per week, whose primary focus will be to take charge of our invoicing and collections functions. This is a position that will involve multiple tasks in a given day. Attention to detail is critical for this position. Ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a working knowledge of Accounts Receivables; Invoicing, posting payments, collection calls, and accounting software. If you love the process of tracking invoices and resolving accounts for our customers, you are the person we are looking for!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process incoming mail concerning billing and invoicing
  • Communicate with clients about billing discrepancies and questions
  • Work with shipping department to ensure accurate invoicing
  • Data entry, keying of invoice information
  • Follow schedule for collection process on past-due accounts (Phone calls, e-mails, faxing)
  • Update Customer records in CRM software
  • Maintain, organize, and file paper records where applicable.
  • Work with Sales team to resolve accounting issues with our Customers using the following “HEARD” techniques:
  • - Hear: let the customer tell their entire story without interruption. Sometimes, we just want someone to listen.
  • - Empathize: Convey that you deeply understand how the customer feels. Use phrases like “I’d be frustrated, too.”
  • - Apologize: As long as it’s sincere, you can’t apologize enough. Even if you didn’t do whatever made them upset, you can still genuinely be apologetic for the way your customer feels (e.g., I’m always sorry that a customer feels upset).
  • - Resolve: Resolve the issue quickly, or make sure that your employees are empowered to do so. Don’t be afraid to ask the customer: “what can I do to make this right?”
  • - Diagnose: Get to the bottom of why the mistake occurred, without blaming anyone; focus on fixing the process so that it doesn’t happen again.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; Understand basic instructions, complete assignments in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Ability to regain focus when interrupted.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, working knowledge of basic accounting and CRM systems.
  • Phone Etiquette; Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Product Knowledge; quickly learn and maintain a level of basic knowledge of our products.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 2 years' experience in AR can substitute for educational requirement
  • Advanced mathematical and logical deduction skills
  • Experience with customer service and client communication
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets
  • Computer Skills: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, CRM and Accounting Software experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
