We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Automated Optical Inspection Specialist to join our team in Batavia. This role involves utilizing advanced optical inspection systems to ensure the quality and accuracy of medical devices and components. Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain automated optical inspection equipment to identify defects or inconsistencies in medical components.
• Review and interpret imaging data, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot inspection issues and optimize system performance.
• Maintain detailed logs of inspections, equipment calibration, and maintenance activities.
• Support compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, and ensure all procedures align with medical office protocols.
• Assist in training new team members on optical inspection procedures and system operation.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with optical systems or optical inspection equipment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ophthalmology enhances effectiveness in this role.
• Experience working within a medical office environment or clinic setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms is desirable.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient data confidentiality.
• Background in medical records management, medical coding, or healthcare documentation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
• Prior experience in medical device manufacturing or quality assurance roles is beneficial.
