Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RBT/Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and supporting their development through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. This role requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to collect data to track progress.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client behaviors and progress.
- Provide direct support to children and individuals with disabilities in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
- Assist in the development of skills related to communication, socialization, and daily living.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and special education practices is beneficial.
- Experience in data collection methods relevant to behavioral therapy is an asset.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality is essential.
- A background in patient care or working within special education settings will be advantageous.
