The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical services provided by the agency while managing a personal clinical caseload. This dual role involves both supervisory responsibilities and direct client care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services. The supervisor will work closely with clinical staff, offer guidance, and support agency goals related to mental health and wellness for individuals and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group supervision to clinical staff, including therapists, social workers, case managers, and interns.
  • Monitor and assess the quality of care provided by the team to ensure adherence to treatment protocols, ethical standards, and best practices.
  • Support staff in crisis situations and assist in the development of crisis intervention strategies.
  • Review and approve treatment plans, progress notes, and case files to ensure compliance with regulatory and agency standards.
  • Offer guidance and clinical consultation to team members on complex cases.
  • Facilitate regular supervision meetings, case conferences, and team discussions.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, conduct performance evaluations of clinical staff and develop professional growth plans.
  • Stay current with best practices, regulatory standards, and mental health trends to ensure the team is informed and up-to-date.
  • Maintain a personal caseload, providing individual, group, or family therapy to clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
  • Conduct intake assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor client progress.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to coordinate care and advocate for client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with agency policies.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programs.
  • Ensure that clinical services are responsive to client needs and reflect best practices in mental health care.
  • Develop and oversee client care plans, ensuring that they are implemented effectively and meet individual client needs.
  • Monitor caseloads and assign cases to clinicians as appropriate.
  • Ensure clinical staff maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies, state regulations, and funding requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in audits and inspections from regulatory bodies.
  • Travel to other service locations

Training and Development

  • Develop and facilitate ongoing training programs for clinical staff on topics such as evidence-based practices, crisis intervention, cultural competence, and new therapeutic methods.
  • Support the professional development of clinical staff through mentoring and continuing education opportunities.
  • Stay updated on new research, interventions, and developments in the field of mental health.

Client Care

  • Conduct initial assessments and consultations as needed.
  • Assist with complex cases and provide direct services to clients as necessary.
  • Ensure that clients receive appropriate referrals to other services, including psychiatric, medical, or social services.

Team Leadership

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
  • Promote a client-centered approach and advocate for continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Coordinate regular team meetings to discuss cases, review policies, and address any team concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, excellent clinical judgment, ability to manage crises, and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with mental health regulations, managed care, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
  • Proven experience providing individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Bilingual abilities.
  • Knowledge of community mental health systems and resources.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
