Position Overview
We are seeking a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or other licensed mental health professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide counseling and support to individuals dealing with substance use and co-occurring disorders, helping them build coping skills, achieve recovery goals, and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfers in accordance with agency standards.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and psychosocial assessments within required timeframes.
- Provide individual and group counseling to help clients overcome substance use, manage life stressors, and achieve recovery goals.
- Educate clients about treatment, recovery strategies, and related health concerns.
- Guide clients in developing skills and strategies for managing triggers and maintaining long-term recovery.
- Collaborate with families, probation officers, and community partners to support client progress.
- Act as an advocate for clients to coordinate services and resolve crises.
- Document all client interactions, progress notes, and treatment updates accurately and promptly.
- Lead and organize structured recovery groups and educational sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other clinical staff to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
- Must hold current Kentucky certification or licensure as a counselor (CADC, LPCA, LPCC, LCSW, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated knowledge of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders — including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Experience in residential, outpatient, or community-based treatment settings preferred.
- Strong sense of professionalism, maturity, and empathy for individuals in recovery.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
