We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to join our Corporate Headquarters HR Team. In this role, you will oversee full-cycle recruiting and hiring processes, manage personnel records, and support special HR projects as needed. Your responsibility will include educating and advising managers on best practices in recruitment, interviewing, and selection to ensure a positive candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruiting for assigned positions, including creating requisitions in our Applicant Tracking System and posting job openings.
Utilize advanced sourcing methods such as social media networking and partnership outreach to attract qualified candidates.
Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and schedule interviews while maintaining regular communication with candidates.
Collaborate with hiring managers to extend offers and facilitate pre-employment screenings (background checks, drug tests, etc.).
Lead new employee onboarding and conduct orientation sessions.
Keep managers informed on recruiting progress and provide guidance on interview techniques and candidate evaluation.
Participate in recruitment events and represent the company at job fairs.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of administrative experience, with at least one year in Human Resources.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
Ability to work in Anchorage, AK, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field.
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR information systems.
Knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA).
Excellent recruitment and interviewing skills.
