Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and clinical support.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by gathering pertinent medical history, vital signs, and medication information.
- Administer medications, injections, and perform wound care; assist with procedures such as EKGs and GYN exams.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to medications or treatments, and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients regarding their medications, treatment plans, and chronic disease management.
- Manage medication refills through patient assistance programs.
- Collect and process laboratory samples (urine, blood, sputum) and conduct routine lab tests.
- Act as a liaison between patients and providers to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
- Assist in scheduling appointments, treatments, and referrals.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of exam rooms, medical equipment, and clinical supplies.
- Track and document immunizations and vaccine inventory, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
