We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Offer companionship through engaging conversations, activities, and social interaction.
- Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition or behavior, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with dementia care, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in the living space and assist with light housekeeping tasks.
- Facilitate communication between clients and their families or healthcare providers.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Strong skills in patient observation and reporting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Familiarity with CPR techniques is desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- A compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team dedicated to providing high-quality care.
