At Get Decked Exteriors, we don’t just build decks—we craft high-end custom outdoor living spaces and exterior builds. While precision deck construction is at our core, our projects also cover full exterior and interior renovations, including custom window and door installations, siding, and selective interior remodeling.
We are looking for a Lead Carpenter who takes genuine pride in their craftsmanship, thrives on autonomy, and is ready to take full ownership of premium builds across every phase of construction.
What You’ll Do
- Lead & Execute: Run custom deck builds and remodeling projects from layout to final detail with accuracy and precision.
- Manage: Oversee a small crew on-site, maintaining an efficient pace without sacrificing quality or safety.
- Specialized Install: Expertly install composite/PVC decking, complex railing systems, structural framing, windows, doors, and siding.
- Interior Remodeling: Execute high-quality interior remodeling work as project scopes require.
- Professional Representation: Maintain a clean, professional site and act as the primary point of contact for homeowners on-site.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Experience: Extensive background in decking, exterior carpentry, siding, window/door installations, and interior remodeling.
- Autonomy & Leadership: Ability to run sites, manage workflow, and troubleshoot complex field conditions independently.
- Detail-Oriented Craftsmanship: Pride in precision execution—from immaculate miter joints to flawless finish carpentry.
- Reliability & Tool Requirements: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to travel to various job sites, and a complete personal setup of essential trade tools, including:
Tool Storage & Safety: Heavy-duty tool belt/pouch, tool box or bag, and standard PPE (safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, ear protection, dust mask/respirator, and non-slip work boots).
Layout & Measurement: Tape measure (25’ ), speed square, torpedo level, chalk line, carpenter pencils, and utility knife.
Hand Tools: Framing hammer (smooth face preferred for trim/composite work), cat's paw/pry bar, wood chisel set (1/2" & 1"), and hand/pull saw.
Cordless Power Tools: 18V/20V cordless drill & impact driver combo kit with charger and batteries, driver bit set and high-speed drill bit set. (Note: Larger power equipment such as miter saws, table saws, and compressors are provided on-site).
Operating Area
Our shop is based in Exeter, PA, but we serve a wide client base. You must be comfortable traveling to job sites throughout NEPA including:
- Luzerne County
- Lackawanna County
- Wayne County
- Wyoming County
- Pike County
- Susquehanna County
