The Role
We are seeking a skilled tailor to play a central role in the client experience at GESTALT Atelier.
This position goes beyond technical alterations. The tailor is responsible for ensuring that each garment achieves the intended fit, proportion, and overall effect within a complete look.
You will work directly with the founder and clients to make precise adjustments, refine fit across multiple garments, and contribute to the atelier's overall standard.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-level alterations on tailored garments, including jackets, trousers, and shirts
- Conduct fittings and assess adjustments with a strong understanding of proportion and balance
- Collaborate with the founder to ensure each garment supports the client’s overall presentation
- Execute alterations with precision and consistency
- Maintain organization and workflow within the tailoring area
- Contribute to a disciplined, detail-oriented environment where quality is the standard
Qualifications
- Strong experience in tailoring and garment construction
- Advanced fitting skills, particularly in tailored clothing
- A high level of attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to evaluate fit beyond basic alterations, with an understanding of overall proportion
- Professional presence and ability to interact with clients in a measured, thoughtful manner
- Ability to work in a small, focused team environment
