The Opportunity
At Gesswein, we’re on a mission to help manufacturers achieve better results—with precision tools, advanced technology, and hands-on training. As a Laser Field Service Technician, you’ll be on the front lines of this mission, traveling across the U.S. to install, support, and maintain high-performance laser equipment.
You are the right person if you have a technical education in the electrical and mechanical field. This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset with good communication and organizational skills.

What You'll Do
- Travel throughout the continental U.S. to install and service laser equipment
- Train customers on equipment use and best practices
- Provide technical support via phone and email using our internal support ticketing system
- Collaborate with our Italian manufacturer’s service center for complex repairs or diagnostics
Training & Growth
You’ll start with a structured 3-month training program alongside our experienced in-house laser team. After that, you’ll head to Italy to continue your training directly with the laser system manufacturer—a rare opportunity to deepen your skills and broaden your technical knowledge.
What We’re Looking For
- Background in electrical and mechanical work experience
- Clear communicator with strong organizational skills
- Confidence in using email, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms
- A problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments
- Willingness to travel for service visits and industry trade shows
- Experience with laser systems is a plus—but not required
