Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Employment Law Associate with at least 3 years of experience to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law, counseling, and compliance matters.
What you’ll do
- Counsel clients in employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claims
- Advise employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and handbooks
- Conduct workplace investigations and training
- Support clients in labor relations and collective bargaining matters (if applicable)
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to business development initiatives
Basic qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 3 years of employment law experience, preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with colleagues & work independently
Preferred qualifications
- Experience or coursework in employment law or related fields such as landlord-tenant law, environmental law, or securities law.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Proficiency in legal writing and drafting with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with litigation processes and procedures.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is highly desirable.
