Responsibilities
Compensation: $34/hr. . The pay range and actual offers are based on a variety of individualized factors including skills, qualifications, experience, location and role specific competencies.
- Drives (class A CDL rated) trucks in the delivery and pick-up of equipment and materials for assigned shows.
- Assists in the loading and unloading of showsite equipment and materials.
- Assists in the carpet and/or furniture departments, as needed.
- Assists in the receiving and delivery of show freight, as needed.
- Miscellaneous equipment inspections and maintenance, as needed.
- Relies on personal knowledge and experience in operation of trucks and in the completing of job functions.
- Must be available for travel and overnight stays as required (up to 20%).
- Must be available to work variable shifts, nights, weekends and extended hours if necessary.
- High School Graduate or GED preferred
- Valid Class A CDL driver's license
- Maintain good driving record
- 3 Years driving experience
- Tradeshow industry experience a plus, but not required
- Must join the Carpenter's Union
- Written and oral communication skills
- Able to interface with internal staff, outside vendors, clients, facility security, etc.
- Required to perform work on loading docks, the tradeshow floor, in noisy and crowded areas as well as warehouse setting
- Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere
- Requires working with union and non-union employees
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Must be able to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision
- Previous experience with ELD and app-based reporting a plus, but not required
