Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician ready to step into a Lead Installer role. In this position, you will lead installations, service calls, and repairs while mentoring apprentices, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will work across a variety of residential, commercial, and light industrial projects, troubleshoot complex issues, interact directly with clients, and help maintain our reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform electrical installations, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and building plans
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company quality standards
- Supervise and mentor apprentice electricians on the job site
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to keep projects on schedule
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members
- Identify potential issues proactively and implement effective solutions
- Uphold and promote a strong safety culture, including proper PPE usage and job site hazard recognition
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent
Requirements
- 4 years of verifiable experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work (lead or supervisory experience a strong plus)
- Proven ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and technical specifications
- In-depth working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local amendments
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and procedures
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the trade (lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, outdoor work in varying weather)
- Clean background check and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
