Supplier Quality Engineer (Data Center)

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer (Mechanical), Data Center Infrastructure

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Manage critical aspects of mechanical infrastructure systems and supplier quality for hyperscale data center builds, collaborating with design engineers, commodity managers, and data center operations teams.
• Lead complex Failure Analysis to determine true root causes and drive systemic corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) across mechanical and HVAC deployments.
• Connect manufacturing line metrics, Factory Witness and Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), and quality audits directly to large-scale data center field performance.
• Oversee the validation of supplier build and test processes, ensuring alignment with hyperscaler requirements and utilizing industry standards such as PPAP and APQP.
• Conduct supplier audits and facility inspections to reduce variability, improve predictable delivery, and streamline lead times for critical physical plant equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience validating manufacturing or test processes at supplier and integrator factories for mission-critical facilities.
• 4 years of experience with the manufacturing, operations, or design of mechanical, fabrication, and HVAC infrastructure equipment.
• 4 years of experience in supplier quality management within data center or heavy industrial environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of mechanical standards applied to mission-critical and hyperscale data center operations (ANSI, ASME, APQP).
• Experience with large-scale mechanical and HVAC infrastructure installation and deployment in hyperscale data center environments.
• Strong statistical, quantitative modeling, and forecasting skills for large operational datasets.
• Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ certifications (CQE, CSQP, CQA), or equivalent quality credentials.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and process control tools (JMP, SAS, Minitab).
• Ability to travel up to 50% (estimated 10–20% average).
