My law firm is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a litigation environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and/or proofreading correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials
- Managing calendars, deadlines, and court schedules
- Filing documents in state and federal courts
- Communicating with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
- Organizing case files and medical records
- Supporting attorneys with trial preparation and administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- Prior legal experience preferred (litigation experience a plus)
- Strong writing, grammar, and editing skills
- Proficiency in technologies such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and case management software (Experience with Filevine a plus)
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
