The Student Support Coordinator plays a key role in supporting students, families, and staff by managing Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and providing administrative and organizational support. This position serves as a liaison between school staff, families, attorneys, and district representatives, ensuring compliance with requirements and a smooth flow of communication.

The Student Support Coordinator plays a key role in supporting students, families, and staff by managing Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and providing administrative and organizational support. This position serves as a liaison between school staff, families, attorneys, and district representatives, ensuring compliance with requirements and a smooth flow of communication.
Key Responsibilities
IEP Direct Support
- Draft and finalize IEPs for all students.
- Create staff logins and add students to caseloads.
- Review student goals and progress for completion.
- Provide feedback to teachers and service providers.
- Save and maintain goals and progress marks for each marking period.
- Download, save, and distribute report cards quarterly.
- Send monthly and quarterly progress reports to parents and districts.
- Send attendance reports to parents and districts monthly.
- Administrative & CSE Liaison Support
- Coordinate student tours and schedule parent visits with Admissions.
- Maintain calendars and schedule meetings, sending invites to all participants.
- Work with CSE chairs to schedule Pre-CSE meetings and update documentation.
- Track and organize student reports and files.
- Prepare and distribute meeting packets.
- Schedule student observations prior to meetings.
- Scan and file notes, reports, and packets.
- Coordinate evaluations with DOE’s Assistive Technology team and schedule student trial periods.
- Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in customer service or people-facing roles preferred.
- Ability to lift/move up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent walking, sitting, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and office equipment.
- Ability to read printed materials and computer screens.
- Ability to write effectively and professionally.
- Willingness to travel to school districts as needed
