Low Voltage Electrician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, particularly in low voltage systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various low voltage systems in commercial and industrial settings. The Low Voltage Technician will work closely with other tradespeople and must be comfortable reading blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and compliance with NEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, and telecommunications systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing low voltage installations.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to understand project requirements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NEC regulations during all electrical work.
• Conduct testing of electrical systems using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites.

Skills

• Experience as a commercial electrician is preferred.
• Strong electrical experience with a focus on low voltage applications.
• Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety measures.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
