Essential Functions
- Reviews operations of preceding shift, including status of jobs and equipment, production schedules, job change requirements and availability of tubing, packing materials, etc. to ensure schedules are maintained as planned
- Ensures availability of scheduled workforce
- Prepares production reports and other reports as required
- Ensures that the shift complies with Plant Health and Safety requirements
- Ensures that the shift complies with Work Rules and Procedures
- Enters data into SAP
- Replaces supervisor in absence or vacation
- Completes other necessary paperwork
- Relieves operator, packer, floor person as necessary
- Ability to work any shift with little notice
- Ability to work one to two hours past shift for meetings or other duties as necessary.
- Observes all Safety rules and regulations and performs job in a safe manner
- Maintains acceptable standards of housekeeping
- Wears proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Demonstrates behavior that meets Gerresheimer Management System (GMS) Standards
- Prints legibly on all paperwork
- Monitors Cold End vision systems for acceptable pack rates. Identifies cause of loss and have addressed.
- Performs other duties when required or requested
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience in directing and motivating people.
- Experience in glass production or related experience a plus.
- Prior proven work history or on-the-job training
